If you’re running an online business – then ClickFunnels will help you lower your technology and build sales funnels almost immediately. Sales funnel is the best way to drive traffic into potential customers.

I’m sure you must have the following questions popping up in your mind – which we’ll address one by one.

Do clickfunnels work? Any tried and tested click funnel reviews?
What are the best clickfunnels features?

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels is a sales funnel software that allows you to save time and not worry about the technical stuff like designing landing pages, domain, html, css and all the other technical stuff that tend drain your time and energy and bring ZERO revenue.

What’s the big deal about sales funnels anyway?

Sales Funnels are a series of pages your visitors go through to reach a particular goal. That goal mostly being a sale, signing up for something or opting in for something.

So a standard three-part sales funnel might start with a facebook ad which when clicked leads to a lead capture landing page. The second step is a landing page, where you get your prospect to enter their information or compel them to buy. The third step is a thank you page, which then can be used to upsell certain products or lead them to the information they were looking for. We would be covering creative ways of using clickfunnels in future blog posts. Make sure you subscribe!

To build these landing pages you need a sales funnel software like clickfunnels. Another option could be use wordpress, hire a developer or manually code and design one – which in my opinion is a waste of time or rather spent on finalizing your customer acquisition channel.

When you are trying to capture leads through an opt-in page or get people to sign up for a new product launch or webinar you are planning, you need people to stick around and read or watch what you are trying to tell them. This is why you need a robust solution to support your sales funnels. They help to funnel your visitors to the ultimate goal, which can be collecting information or direct sales. You can hire someone to create these pages for you, or you can use a service like clickfunnels.

Who is behind ClickFunnels?

Russell Brunson is the man behind Clickfunnels. This guy started his first online company while he was just in college and within a year of graduation, he had already sold over a million dollars of his own products and services – from his basement, no less.

With over 10 years of work experience in online marketing, he has already built a following a million entrepreneurs. He saw that every month online entrepreneurs were spending thousand of dollars on marketing tools and developers to run their businesses. From tools like email autoresponders, shopping carts, and apps, membership sites, hosting, site builders, social media schedulers and I could go on and on….but if you run an online business you already, know what I’m talking about.

Despite all this, you STILL have to worry about driving traffic, and conversion, don’t you? So how can you be sure that your online business is getting the right amount of traffic and paying customers, with minimum time and money?

What if there was a single marketing tool that allowed you to save money on all the other essential “must have” tools that you are currently using? A tool that helps you get the right amount of highly targeted traffic with would give you higher conversions and more sales?

Now, isn’t it something that you would be interested in? Well!! That’s what exactly Click Funnels is!! An awesome tool that is built by, and for internet marketers and business owners.

But is ClickFunnels right for your business?

If you are into any of the following then YES, you do need ClickFunnels

  • E-commerce or Shopify store owner
  • Online or offline coaching business
  • Network marketing business
  • Real Estate
  • Information Products
  • Professional Services
  • Business To Business services

Whatever you’re selling or whichever kind of business you are in – as long as you have something to sell online, ClickFunnels can seriously up your game.

Clickfunnels Features – All Internet Marketing Tools In One Place

You can do away with separate membership fees on separate marketing tools, because we have everything in Click Funnels itself.

Companies like LeadPages and Unbounce, who once used to charge thousands of dollars to capture leads, has changed their strategy completely to compete with Click Funnels.

Every single tool that you need in order to sell a product online is available within ClickFunnels. It has:

Cool Feature #1: Funnel Template Blueprints

If this is the first time you are attempting to create a sales funnel then ClickFunnels got you covered. Russell Brunson has identified 22 unique types of sales funnels that he has successfully applied in his own businesses.

These sales funnel types fall into 3 main categories:

  • Lead Capture Funnels
  • Sales Page Funnels
  • Event Funnels

Bonus: Other special funnels like membership funnels can be created.

Among these 22 funnels you have super simple funnels (but highly effective) like the Squeeze Page Funnel. This sales funnel collects a visitor’s email address, after which it sends them to a Thank you page for signing up.

Slightly more intricate sales funnels like the 2-Step TripWire Funnel (my favorite) which initially sells a smaller ticket front-end product (your tripwire), but then it upsells your more expensive products (which actually make you more money!) using Order Form bumps, and one-click upsells or downsells.

Each funnel has its own free and paid templates. So even if you don’t have much design skills, your landing pages will all have a clean, professional design.

Here’s a bird’s eye view of how to create your first online sales funnel:

  • Choose a funnel type you want to use.
  • Select any one template.
  • Customize pages to fit your business.
  • Write compelling copy
  • Add your products and ensure that your email and payment integrations are done.
  • Choose a domain name for your new funnel.
  • Save your sales funnel.
  • Your funnel is now live and you can start sending traffic to it.

Cool Feature #2: Easy-To-Use Drag and Drop Visual Editor

ClickFunnels already has great funnel and page templates, but with the visual editor you can truly make every page of your sales funnel your own.

The pages in ClickFunnels are in sections have piecemeal rows and columns and you can simply use your mouse to drag them around and customize to achieve pretty much any design you want.

The visual editor is very intuitive to use and almost reminds me of Canva. Selecting any component on the page and moving them around is seamless. The text elements can easily be edited and element can also be modified pretty easily – without any learning curve.

Everything is organized in such an intuitive and logical way – that you’ll not be spending much time hunting looking for you want to do. The single most important thing is that there is absolutely no coding required. You don’t have to spend precious time figuring out any HTML or CSS or any other technical nonsense.

Cool Feature #3: Huge Selection of Page Elements

As mentioned, ClickFunnels is highly customizable, but they also offer a wide range of elements (also called widgets) which give you the freedom to design the exact kind of landing pages you want to use.

The basic elements include headlines, images, text, click to action buttons, input forms and, video widgets as well. These are just some of the basic building blocks for any landing page you build in ClickFunnels.

ClickFunnels has included a number of advanced elements which you can deploy:

  • SMS Signups
  • Surveys and Insights
  • Pricing Tables
  • Progress Bars
  • Facebook Comment box
  • FAQ box
  • Countdown and Deadline Timers (to create an urgency of offer goes away)
  • Custom HTML (if you want to indulge)

Some specialized elements:

  • Membership elements for your memberships pages
  • Order and shipping form elements for your order pages.

All these elements or widgets can easily be customized with the visual editor WITHOUT any need to code or hiring a developer. You can change the background colors, margins, fonts, and alignment to suit your brand.

Cool Feature #4: Earn some extra money by sharing your funnels

ClickFunnels has a feature that allows you to grab your Share Funnel URL.

So if your friend or client visits this URL, they will automatically be able to add this funnel into their account provided they are already a ClickFunnels member. If they haven’t got a membership yet, then you can ask them to sign up for the ClickFunnels 14-day Free Trial. Once that’s done then you can get your funnel added to their account.

The great thing about this share url is that it virtually acts as your affiliate link. This will earn you a recurring commission if any of these new users ends up staying on on ClickFunnels.

Make some extra money with these super easy ideas:

  • Become a ClickFunnels consultant and build specific niche sales funnels that you can sell to small businesses who are in that game
  • Go ahead and sell these same funnels in the ClickFunnels marketplace where they could also be sold to other ClickFunnels users
  • These sales funnels make great lead magnets or bonuses in almost every niches. These funnels are a great way to get your readers into your own sales funnel by offering something valuable which they can use.

There are boundless opportunities with this, and there are a lot of people already making good money with ClickFunnels because of this share funnels feature.

Cool Feature #5: Fun and engaging onboarding process

Starting off with any new software seeming intimidating and overwhelming at first. But this sales funnel software has been designed so simply and so impressively – you’ll find on-boarding very, very easy!!

When you first sign up, you’ll have to complete a 7-day challenge. This consists of 4 games each one needing a number of steps to complete. Each step has a task and a short video of Russell telling you what needs to be done.

The first part of the game gets you through the process of building a Hero Funnel. The 2nd and 3rd parts introduce you to the Funnel Cookbook and the Funnel University. The last part is a funnel launch checklist that will walk you through everything you need to get done before your sales funnel goes live.

While this whole “game” is optional, when you complete the steps successfully you “win” prizes that include a ClickFunnels t-shirt and some stickers.

This whole process is actually incredibly valuable. Basically it’s an interactive fun way to a complete ClickFunnels tutorial. You learn how to use ClickFunnels for business and the philosophy and value behind sales funnels.

Clickfunnels 3rd Party Integration

3rd Party integrations are just what they sound like. Basically other online marketing tools that you can integrate into ClickFunnels. There are many types of integrations that you can link to your ClickFunnels account which include email, webinar, SMS/text, and other actions.

Example: Add Convertkit to your ClickFunnels account because you like Convertkit’s auto-responding software and have already have your emails running with them.

ClickFunnels has a great number of 3rd party integrations that you can add to this marketing tool to make the perfect sales funnel.

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one you want and add it.

Can ClickFunnels be an alternative to the website?

Websites are seen as the default choice when you want to establish anything online. Websites are extremely useful as they help businesses to have a dedicated address where they can be found. Very much like your physical address a website serves the purpose of your online address (www.yourbusiness.com).

You can make your website user interface better in terms of look and feel, and even give pointers for people to buy and try out your offerings. Most websites have 8 to 12 pages, telling you as much as possible about the business including products and services. While some have blogs using CMS (Content Management System) like WordPress, where they keep publishing useful information for their prospective customers.

So how do these website pages differ from pages created being created with Clickfunnels?

Clickfunnels has a very easy-to-use “web editor” with which you edit or create new pages within Clickfunnels in a jiffy. Without any technical know how – many people actually go and develop a complete functioning website on Clickfunnels very easily.

But not the true purpose of Clickfunnels… Clickfunnels at its core is a sales funnel application.

Websites, in the long run, will allow you to create content that will help you rank on the search engines (basically rank on Google) and generate organic traffic called SEO traffic. Clickfunnels, on the other hand is a marketing tool that will help you convert targeted traffic and focus on ROI.

Your website will have a unique domain name that you have booked for your website -example www.yourbusiness.com. But this will not be that case with ClickFunnels, as you will have to use their proprietary technology and templates that is hosted on their domain.

So, here you will be sharing the same domain name and your landing pages will work on a subdomain looking like www.yourbusiness.clickfunnels.com. Of course you can mask your clickfunnels landing page with your domain but still we don’t consider clickfunnels as an alternative to website!

Ideally you should be using an application for the purpose it is designed for, no? And Clickfunnels is designed to excite traffic with “an offer they can’t refuse”!!

Bottom Line: Websites are way cheaper and easier to set up now, then they were 10 years ago – but websites won’t deliver on conversions, customer journey and sales as ClickFunnels will.

What I Like and Don’t Like about Clickfunnels!

There are many ClickFunnel pros as well as many ClickFunnels cons. So let’s have a look.

PROS:

#1. Makes You Money

Yes, that’s what we all want, don’t we? The single most important pro about ClickFunnels is it’s core focus is on making money for its users. The simple on-boarding process makes is quite easy to make your account, Set up your offer, and start taking payments. With its intuitive design, you won’t have much figuring out how to get your first sales funnel on the road.

#2. Drag and Drop Editor

While so many ClickFunnel features are great like the ability to duplicate pages and save templates to use later on, the single most important feature is their page editor. It takes next to no time to get familiar with it and build your landing page.

#3. Built in A/B testing

The built in A/B testing is great for people who love to test out a couple of scenarios. You just need to do duplicate a page, make changes, and get them live.

#4. Great 3rd Party Integrations

ClickFunnels handles API integrations better than most landing page software’s. Email autoresponders and payments – work reliably and are quite easy to manage. For a solopreneur like me, it’s great to have all these things in one place. Building landing pages, creating forms, trigger emails and collecting payments – all from one platform. What more you want?

#5. All in one

It’s like repeating the above point! But I can’t tell you how much grief, time and energy ClickFunnels has saved – because I no longer have to depend on (nor spend on) developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and the likes. Rest assured, the Basic Plan is a good investment all things considered.

TL;DR:

  • Super easy-to-use, intuitive design.
  • Only sales funnel software that gives you a complete sales funnel overview and an outstanding page designer
  • Create an unlimited number of sales funnels, membership sites, landing and sales pages
  • Do split A/B testing without having to use any other tool
  • Makes tracking conversions easier through the entire sales funnels
  • Pages are fully responsive and look awesome on tablets and smartphones
  • Represents your brand 100% – right from domain to the emails being sent
  • Great customer support

CONS:

Nothing is perfect, and nor is ClickFunnels. But it sure does a great job of packaging great tools on one platform and making them accessible at a reasonable rate. Sure, saves most users a headache from trying to manage funnels another way. So, here comes the cons.

#1. Limits on the number of funnels

ClickFunnels allows you 20 funnels, a 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors if you go for their basic plan. But if you’re just building sales funnels these limits should be alright.

You may not appreciate these restrictions if you’re doing client work and building funnels for your many customers in which case, you shouldn’t be opting for the basic plan anyways.

#2. A bit of a learning curve

What ClickFunnels can achieve is pretty huge, and it can seem intimidating to some. This is one of the reasons, why they’ve put so much work into their on-boarding “game” video. It really, really helps to ease you into the software. Besides, this the ClickFunnels visual interface is very well designed and you just need to get a couple of funnels under your belt and the whole process seems pretty smooth after that.

#3. Price Point

The price point may be slightly steep for some people. As of now, it’s $97 per month for basic plan, which is more than ClickFunnels alternatives like LeadPages. But, looking at all the marketing tools you can replace and sales conversions you’ll get – it’ll pay for itself in the long – no scratch that short run itself.

ClickFunnels Pricing: How much does clickfunnels cost?

ClickFunnels pricing slabs have evolved over time. When they started they had 3 pricing tiers, but now they only offer 2 separate plans.

The Basic Plan

The cheapest ClickFunnels plan is at $97 a month. With the Basic Plan you get access to all funnel creation tools. However, you are limited to building 20 funnels, 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors. This plan doesn’t get you access to Actionetics (ClickFunnels built-in email service) and Backpack (Affiliate program).

The Etison Suite plan

To get access to everything ClickFunnels has to over, plus unlimited funnels, pages, and visitors runs upto $297 a month.

Currently, there are no ClickFunnels coupon codes available online, but you can choose a yearly subscription to get a 16% ClickFunnels discount. This is equivalent to having 2 months free ClickFunnel use.

ClickFunnels gives you a complete demo their service with an all inclusive, free 14-day trial. This Free Trial is not limited in any way, so go ahead and give the software a full test run before you commit.

ClickFunnel Alternatives:

Is ClickFunnels the only sales funnel software out there? How does Clickfunnels compare to it’s competition like LeadPages, OptimizePress or ThemeThrive?

Of course there are some other landing page builders out there. So how does ClickFunnels match up against those? Let’s find out.

#1. Clickfunnels vs LeadPages

Let’s look at each aspect and how ClickFunnel fares against LeadPages.

Customer Support: LeadPages customer support is good, but not great because they have a lot of customers so you do need to wait out your turn. ClickFunnels have a super quick support, which might be credited to they are a new service and they don’t have that many customers.

Visual Editor: Yes, we’ve had a LeadPages subscription, which gave us some pretty awesome templates and a system that just delivers well. Clickfunnels has a better editor than LeadPages. And that’s my opinion, feel free to share your view point.

Templates: Both landing page softwares have a good selection of clean and professional looking templates. But Leadpages is more limited in scope and even has templates for webinars – but they are just that simply templates. Though they look good, they don’t contain any special webinar functionality. While Clickfunnels really helps you go beyond the whole page designer thing in a way that you’ll understand once you begin to use it.

3rd Party Integration: LeadPages honestly have better WordPress integration and they even allow you to download the raw HTML and use it on your own server. Integrating Integrating ClickFunnels with WordPress could be done through “iframe”. But now you also have a handy WordPress plugin that lets you integrate ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin has a 4.4 stars rating in the with over 20,000 active installations.

Pricing: LeadPages starts at $37/month for their standard plan which includes their landing page templates and tools. Expect to pay extra on 3rd party apps if you need them (You will). $97 / month for their smart converting sales funnel page builder tool. No extra payments! Everything Built into the software for you.

#2. Clickfunnels vs OptimizePress 2.x

OptimizePress 1.x had a great drop and page builder, but boring templates. OptimizePress 2.x when launched had a super slow drag and drop page builder.

Initially OptimizePress 2.x greatest advantage it’s competitors was that it was possible to completely change the template. You could add new elements or removing existing ones. But this functionality is now available in Clickfunnels as well – and works so much better and faster!

Conclusion: Is clickfunnels worth it? Will Clickfunnel work for me?

ClickFunnels is definitely the real deal because it is a great software and an amazing affiliate opportunity. People use ClickFunnels to sell logo design services, physical fitness products and turtle bracelets with great ease and success.

They have a huge and active community – almost cult like that aggressively promotes it. This is sometimes off putting for some people because they figure it’s over-hyped. But it sures does deliver on its promises!! If you’ve ever asked yourself the question – “How do I create a sales funnel?” then ClickFunnels is the answer.

LeadPages, OptimizePress and others are is just a landing page builder, while with ClickFunnels you get a full marketing funnel platform. You get to be a part of their awesome Facebook group where you can get a lot of help getting started.

But is it the right solution for you? That all depends on your goal. If you’re cool with making landing pages and paying extra for email services and other add ons as you go along – then maybe LeadPages is what suits you best.

If you like a one click solution then definitely ClickFunnels is right for you. Whatever said and done, it all comes down to the money right? No one can deny ClickFunnels is a bit more expensive but it also does has MUCH MUCH MORE that comes with it. Plus you save on time and money setting up other 3rd party apps. It’s a small investment, because the money will be making its way back to you.
